Why should I be biased towards an individual especially Peter Obi . If you recall, I condemned all 3 presidential candidates as inadequate and incapable . I didn’t have a dog in the fight in 2023 which actually excused me from bias unlike your good self who was sworn to a Peter Obi presidency .

My position on the incompetencies of the 3 gladiators in 2023 are manifestly obvious today. The illegitimate PBAT is already overwhelmed barely 18 months in Aso Rock as the whole country is in shambles and even his die hard supporters are gnashing their teeth. Meanwhile Atiku has once more shown he is only for president and not leadership since PDP is in chaos, held under the jugular by Wike with not even a whimper from Atiku . Same for Obi who has not been able to show any form of leadership over the elected members of LP in federal and state legislatures including Abia State won by the party . In addition, LP is equally embroiled with existential threat thanks to fifth columnists and leadership struggles while Obi is gallivanting across the country attending funerals. More importantly, Atiku and Obi have not been able to offer any alternative ideas on the crippling national economy since the devaluation and subsidy "removal" by Tinubu which they equally promised to do if elected. Clearly Tinubu, Atiku and Obi are no messiahs but all political opportunists !

On our original discussion , I plainly disagree with you position on application of common sense. The common sense approach is not usually the moral choice . When you allude to fairness and equity it is the morality you seek and not pragmatism . So, common sense analysis and expectations of the 2023 presidential election is that, that is untainted by emotions and based more on the current positions of all the pieces on the political chessboard and realistic outcomes that will give the opposition victory . Regrettably , the top dogs of the main opposition party split their forces leaving the weaker dog of the discredited and diminished ruling party to coast home to victory without a majority vote but highest vote as required . Essentially, the indicted and certificate forging Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election by default and the fault lies with Atiku and Obi together with their supporters who felt each candidate could win without the other !

In truth I am biased . But my bias is usually to Democracy, Constitution, Development and Prosperity in Nigeria.

The problem I detect from your otherwise valid thesis is one of bias. Commonsense decisions must also be embedded in fairness and equity, shouldn’t they? Unjustifiable is your bias against Obi and not Atiku who, for several equity and ”commonsense” reasons, had no business running again in 2023, to succeed another Fulani man who had shown beyond an iota of doubt that he lacked capacity to play as LGA Chairman let alone President of a complex mosaic like Nigeria. Your bias is even more baffling to people like me from the marginalized Central States of Nigeria, most of whom, for your information, voted for Obi [from Plateau, Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa, FCT, Southern Kaduna, and swathes of Niger, Kogi, Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, even Atiku’s own Adamawa] In spite of INEC’s palpable electoral shenanigans, the Obi man still won in 12 States, and I can assure you that if the votes in the MB States were transparently counted, the result would have shocked people like you. So, this your thing about Obi coming ”from the SE without a national image” is a bit off point. And pray tell, what does that mean exactly – is there any part of the flawed 1999 constitution or derived law, that precludes people from the SE running for president, and if yes, why?

I suppose the use of “common sense” is to achieve a desired goal . So obstacles, challenges and the actions of other key players should have been anticipated and considered before a common sense decision is made and action taken .

I thought common sense would have informed you and many others that the major opposition party PDP cannot win the election since the party base was split by the departure of Peter Obi together with the Christian and southern vote . And Peter Obi cannot win the election being from the SE and without a national image , together with an unknown LP .

Apparently, this lack of common sense essentially gave the unfit and unelectable BAT and criminally incompetent APC victory at 37% of the vote to the combined 61% of Atiku & Obi votes .

This is why we insist we need God to direct us to have the correct common sense .

I’m sure they did, but only so far. If and/or when their will was thwarted, what did they do. That’d be using their God’s gift to complete their duty.

The State government took it to extreme by suspending the resumption of schools in the state for 2024/2025 academic sessions, it also shared rice for Christians in the state through the churches is it only Christians that are living in the state.

The complete floating of the naira against USD by the current government at the center killed our currency previous government had been operating managed float with a band of lower and upper limits, to enable CBN managed the FOREX rates.

So is it that the over 63% of Nigerians and majority that voted against Tinubu did not use the sense God gifted them ?

I can't help but agree with you wholly on his one, the only caveat is that ''God is not going to save Nigeria'' – it's either Nigerians borrow enough sense to make the right choices that can save Nigeria, or Nigeria will gradually, surely and steadily atrophy and die. I'm even beginning to think that Nigerians deserve their Buharis and Tinubus.

Let us just assume you are being honest even though you know within yourself that you are not. But if it took you one hour into Tinubu's government before you realized he was a disaster waiting to happen, then, you should be pitied, rather than piloried. In that case, you should apologize to those who hold a high opinion of you.

In case you still do not know much about Tinubu, I refer you to an article on this Backpage, written by Shaka Momodu:

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2023/02/17/tinubu-the-moment-of-truth-is-nigh/

"Recently, I asked an ardent Tinubu supporter if he would engage someone like Tinubu to run his company after seeing his record-setting gaffes or his fragile condition – just based on what we see on his campaign trail? He just stared blankly at me, unable to answer. This same individual is supporting Tinubu to be president of Nigeria. Something is certainly wrong with a lot of people in this country"……Shaka Momodu

Remain blessed, Shaka Momodu

The NNPC is the piggy bank of Nigeria and fuel subsidy is the honey pie . Tinubu is a badger bear ….the murkier the oil and petrol business the more for the Tinubu criminal and political enterprise.

I sympathise with Nigerians who took various substance influenced unguarded talks by PBAT for policies. Tinubu has never sat long enough in one place to make policy (assuming he really has capacity for critical intellectual thought unrelated to Emi lokan power grab devious schemes), or does Tinubu have people capable of making policies for him . His is essentially a crony settlement enterprise on steroids aimed at more devilish power grab schemes. Today, petrol price is N875 from N145 per litre and dollar is N1,600 from N460 as all manners of taxes on the people are going through the roof ! All these are coming barely 467 days after taking over from the most incompetent and reckless PMB administration. We can only expect more from this schemer of a leader and his chaotic administration together with his rudderless government.

I suppose Nigerians are now waking up to the meaning of an illegitimate presidency . I shout myself hoarse on this after the debacle of the presidential election in 2023. Tinubu never won the majority vote and was encumbered by his criminal past- he was awarded the presidency by a default in the CFRN which required the highest votes instead of the majority votes to clinch the presidency , and a judicial abracadabra that allowed the Justices of the apex court to excuse themselves from determining whether a known criminal is a criminal and can occupy the highest office in the land . Such a president is going to care less what the majority of the people feel about his actions and inactions in office or whether he is competent or not while still promoting his criminal antics. So far everything has been criminalized and mismanaged enough to get PBAT impeached and booted out of office but is seem the Legislature is no more and there is no opposition to PBAT in 2027 . God save Nigeria !
