But he attained the HIGHEST office in the country. God has blessed him for good reason.

Nigerians cannot say they did not know what they were going to get by voting for .
All the cries of suffering now are belated and frankly speaking i think people should shut up!
Countries electing leaders with a track record of accountability and probity are not fools!
You sow the wind ,you reap the whirlwind, period!

There is no such country as Nigeria. The construct is a mere geographical expression, apologies, Awolowo.

Since you know his antecedents, why are you second guessing him? We reiterate, Asiwaju could have kicked the economic can down the road like his predecessor. He doesn’t have to expend so much political capital on the thankless task of rebalancing the economy,
Subsidy here, subsisting, or gone: all semantics. The egg has to be broken for the omelette to be made, and the breaking is always messy.
Buckle up, Segun. The market will break your heart more, in the months to come. Jets, convoy or no.
It’s gonna get worse before it gets better.

Did you read the article at all before writing your comment?

if you have nothing less idiotic to write, please just go away. The issues are serious and nobody has time for your nonsense.

He will be wondering what you told Yar’Adua when he handed over to Turai and departed to Germany. He will be asking you what did you tell Obasanjo when the latter knew Yar’Adua was sick and still made him president. The truth is that Tinubu administration met a massive socioeconomic and political carcas, left by his predecessors . He assumed that Nigerians would understand the problem . So he came to office to fix one aspect of the system. The one he did not fix which he cannot fix are the army of people who thought Nigeria has never had a problem and it was Tinubu who caused it. They said one guy who lost the last election is the only person that can fix it. So, Tinubu will just be wondering if you are actually writing for those people .

these past 64 years after our Indepence from the UK.
Is it not better if did recall the Brits to come back and recolonize us, because we Nigerians are fantastically and rottenly corrupt
to govern ourselves?
In Nigeria of today, dogs are indeed eating dogs and the baboons and the dogs are bathing in their own blood.
Oh dear!
What a country.
Oh God!
Why Hath Thou Forgotten US Nigerians?

Or is it deliberate? Thank God, I understand it. It aptly describes Tinubu's actions and inactions. Thank you for this piece. Interesting as usual.

Please where was it published? It was certainly not in Thisday!

ii. You know too well that his illegitimacy does not owe to his poor percentage of votes only, but also that the election was massively rigged!

iii. After the monumental looting of Lagos, would you in all honesty say Tinubu is empathetic & care for the welfare of people & greater good?

iv. If, with all he has committed so far in power you could say Tinubu knows what he is doing for which he will eventually end on the good side of history, then why would Abacha, Babangida & others remain on the infamy list? What does his criminal history (of drugs, certificate forgery, corruption, bullion van, etc) make of him? What on earth could he still do that can ever make his regime anything less than a monumental infamy & disgrace?

v. Indeed, Tinubu's haughtiness, contemptuous & condescending use of power derives, at least in part, from the knowledge that the press & civil society which pulled other non Yoruba-friendly governments down will at best adopt silence in his era, not because of any docile populace! Could any other government have done anything close & still be worthy of your benefit of doubt? What more did others that Yorubas pulled down in the past do before they merited infamy?

vii. The criminal's understanding of power & governance is no more than as an opportunity for self-indulgence without a thought for tomorrow (owambe) for himself, cronies & tribe. Indeed, to this extent he knows what he is doing! After the supreme court's atrocious validation of the monumental rigging, his first & immediate reaction was to say to his Yoruba government appointees with a sense of relief: "Your job is secured!"

viii. In life criminals, cheats & liars always ULTIMATELY end in anti-climax. Since his criminality has been lifelong, it is easy to see how he will end!
