After the million advance books we still unable to produce or invent nothing…..because our mentality is just of status symbol without real substance…..just like you have all manner of people parading useless doctorate degrees and they are even taking it a notch higher to professorship meanwhile they can't proffer one single solution to society problem.

Thst is not the issue if there is a law Nigerians should learn to adhere to it,what many of you are saying is akin to when you catch a thief he will be saying how about the people that stole in the next street, does that remove the fact that he or she has stolen?.You have the 6-3-3-4 system what is hard in adhering to it?We are just a lawless bunch, that is why we can hardly make progress as a people.

The policy of setting an age limit of 18 years for a Nigerian student to enroll in university is simply put, idiotic.

First of all, the population of under 18 years old people enrolling in university, in Nigeria, is probably less than 1%. So why will the ministry of Education focus on a non issue. Will it not have been better to focus of the 18 million+ out of school children in Nigeria ?

Next, what about the thousands of women that are married out at less than the age of 18 years old in Nigeria. The thousands of 6 years old children who are hawking goods all over Nigeria. The thousands of 5 years old children who are begging on the streets of major cities in Nigeria. Who has done anything about it ?

School or no school. University or no University. Many parents, in Nigeria, have a rigorous learning and education standard for their children. That child that they are stopping from entering university at 16 years old probably reads 7 advanced books, that the entire members of the ministry of education, have not read every single month

So, the government's policy is nonsensical and an effort in futility.

What is wrong with government implementing already an existing law of children getting into university at the age of 18.Nigerians are always in haste to no where, they rush their children some of them to show off how brilliant their children are which still ends up in paper certificates because most of this rush doesn't produce inventions.A child finishes university at 15 and probably joined the civil service and maybe gets to retirement age at 50yrs of age then what? The world is loosing even the essence of living, everything is on the fast lane to no where. We keep producing things that is in deep reality of no good use to humanity. The Western countries we always want to look up to they have rules and people adhere to them and this is why their societies work but here we bend the rule and use all manner of emotional cheap blackmail to justify our shameful actions. If the system says a child should be 18 before university so be it there is nothing absolutely wrong in enforcing that.

Also i am not sure why ARISE is so fixated with America Democratic party convention and by extension America election and they even do that in the most biased way,i am not aware that CNN is even aware of the dominant parties in Nigeria talk less of their internal party wranglings but here we are being regaled by what democrats and republicans do or did not do….We can't shake off from the inferiority complex of everything Western is best.
