The labor party is on a spin fall as the former Presidential flag bearer and status symbol, Peter Gregory Obi, who is supposed to be galvanizing the party as a closely knit family unit, is egocentrically disposed in romancing with his former party the PDP with the sole purpose of running as Atiku's running mate in the 2027 presidential elections not minding some integrity void rebuttals. A development that has the support of some of our retired generals and former heads of state. In my candid opinion, Obi who is overly disposed to this political contraption, may be working a delicate thin line that may consign him to the garbage bin of political harlots without any modicum of ideological cusp. The big gauge of his political capital, will be if he cannot bring labor party together as the vibrant and aggressive seamless heterogenous force it used to be before the 2023 elections, where lies the assurances that he can manage a larger Nigeria with optimal result orientation and with all the leadership untested claims still in the non cognitive trajectory. The obedient family want nothing short of the Presidential slot and not the Vice Presidential slot as they will dump their principal in droves should he decide to navigate the uncharted territory of vice presidency. Come to think of it, the Presidency is the exclusive preserve of the south for the next eight years hence Atiku will always be the nosy poker and meddlesome interloper he has always been should he want to take another shot on the presidency in 2027.
