All policies generated within Nigeria from then till date works for the former colonialists and their developed friends. In the case of our oil, production is simply to keep Europe warm and with electricity 24/7. If I’m lying why don’t we have a policy of perpetual electricity supply? Since 1979 power has been in short supply with what we used to call, low shedding. Strangely, government s have come and gone and many children have been born. Low shedding has transformed into no power for many days. What can anyone do without electricity supply.?
Theresa Turner came to research about nigerias oil. Today, Nigerians research Nigerians oil for PhD and the theses are turned over to UK, France and America, as well as Canada, for policy implementation . In their favour. I blame Nigerians who want everything Westerrn at all cost. Nothing is free.

No one willingly removes his life oxygen. And for that reason, Tinubu has no capacity to stop oil theft.
In fact, no president who is a product of turn-by-turn indisoluble and indivisible entity can stop oil theft.
I cannot say more than this!

Rather the question should be what did our leaders do to curb these external advances that can harm our national interest, and how did they try to impose our own interests on others ?

The oil industry is international, capital intensive in USD and highly technical including geopolitical influences. It's no field for the incompetent , mediocres and cry babies. The global demand for oil and gas is high, just as the business of satisfying this demand for fossil energy is quite lucrative. Only the best and toughest thrive in this field, not entitled individuals or countries.

If we don't blame colonial masters for our perils , we turn round and blame foreign conspirators for all the tragedies abound in Nigeria. Perhaps its international collaborators that have made it impossible for NFA to assemble world class winning football teams for Nigeria despite the abundance of gifted and talented Nigerian youths.

The fact of this matter is that the management of our oil resources is no different from how we have managed every other public endeavours from Football to Politics and government. Leadership is key to the success of any human endeavour, regrettable this is where Nigeria is most deficient . Truth be told , Nigeria has never attempted to deliberately cultivate and engage good leadership in anything.

Now, PBAT is one big epitome of poor leadership going way back to our independence. Tinubu is president and oil minister . Today, more than 400 days after, no NNPC refinery is working and Aliko DRL is working but producing more fights and confusion while fuel queues and petrol pricing chaos reign supreme across the country.

A refinery that was built over 10yrs yet there was no preparation for incorporating DRL into the the national and international energy matrix. Most pitiable is the knee jerk pronouncement of selling crude oil to DRL in naire when nothing has been worked out to determine the feasibility and viability of such transaction. Or is a foreign interest that influenced Nigerians not to plan or gave the illegitimate PBAT the ridiculous idea of selling domestic crude allocation to a private entity against constitutional provision of equality, best business practice and PIA ?

Good leadership does not work that way … without thinking through and working out the strategy. Our woes are man made and homemade , little to do with foreigners !
