The present administration completely floated naira and we are where we are now.

The president did what he did to please the Western world to get legitimacy for the flooped election that produced his government prior to the ratification by the judiciary.

If nigeria were to be restructured into regions using the geopolitical zones (with or without the Emeka Anyaoku's template where the oil revenue is divided equally among the regions), it would have stood a chance. But as @the masked one succinctly put it at the weekend,

The fact remains that in this marriage of convenience between the North and the South West they are not equal partners. It also explained why all the professions to One Nigeria were mere empty smoke. It also explained why corruption would remain the code of conduct for governance, and why oil thieves would never be caught.
Need I say, it also foreclosed any attempt to reformation, either constitutional or fiscal federalism.
Simply put, this is a failed state! The earlier we come to terms with it, the better!

Restructuring would have, among others, helped nigeria save the biggest bulk of it's budget it is wasting on recurrent expenditure (& debt service it triggers from borrowing) to develop it's infrastructure, and to diversify the economy! It would have helped achieve equity, political balancing & stability, national cohesion, reduce tension, and, of course, drastically reduce corruption, enhance frugality & accountability, as well as promote better planning, management & service delivery! It would even help in population management

"Only through such a paradigm shift can Nigeria hope to achieve sustainable economic and social progress."

nigeria is already dead & buried! The crim1nal is just putting on the final nails on the coffin! The very people who introduced ethnic politics sabotaging Igbo, are also now performing the closing ceremony in the process of sabotaging Igbo! As it is now, it's just full blown misery & dictatorship encircling & enveloping the land! In time, complete darkness will cover the space. Any person still talking about any hope of progress is either a f00l or a l1ar! The only thing that will change is the number of the miserable! Not only will more & more people continue to drop into the misery zone, AT LEAST 70 million more people will be added into the population in the next 10 years!*

Even the crim1nal is aware. According to Akin Osuntokun's theory, the reason for his unprecedented nepotism is the awareness of the irredeemability of nigeria. What is left for anybody is to find a way of catering for his/her safety & survival! If you can leave the country, please do while you still can! There's nothing more coming, except darkness!

…………
N.B:
In the next 10 years nigeria's population will grow by at least 70 million people. (It grew by about 50 million since 2014). By then also, the world would have found an alternative, clean source of energy, meaning petrol will play much less role in world economies (if at all! If anyone is following the progress in the development of clean energy around the world, he/she would agree there may even be an international convention banning fossil fuels in the next 10 years!). By then the loans Buhari & the current crim1nal have been bingeing on would have matured…By then, inflation will be over the moon. A cup of garri might be costing 1500….So, by then, there will be kidnapping even just to buy crayfish or maggie!
