My low hanging fruit for thought following the End/Bad Governance ( EBG) Protest is the deployment of our Armed Forces armed
with lethal weapons instead of our Civil Police Forces with batons,tear gas and water cannons to control the protesters.
Shortly before the protest, the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. General Christopher Musa,warned that the Army was there to confront
the enemies of our Federal Government.
But quite on the countrary it is our Federal Government that is here the enemy of the people as of today
Ours is supposed to be a Democracy and under our Democratic Dispensation,the Sovereign Electorate,the people did elect our
Politicians to serve them(the people) not the other way round.
There is a damning and indeed an incontrovertible evidence that our current APC led Government has failed the people of Nigeria.
The astronomical cost of running our FG doe speak loud about our Politicians serving themselves, while the masses are thus
abandoned to wallow in abject poverty and deprivations.
That Nigerians went out to protest against hunger and lack of food in the country does not make them enemies of our Federal
Government as claimed by Lt General Chris Musa.
That the Federal Government sought to addrees the problem of hunger and lack of food in the country with palliatives instead of
social outreach;jobless benefits,foodstamps,medicares et al,is an utter hogwash and indeed a collective insult to the people of
Nigeria to warrant a nationwide call for this End/Bad Governance Protest.
Enough is enough ojare!
