This pension reform is one of the achievements of the Obasanja administration. Pensioners under the CPS no longer queue up to be attended to as was the case under the pay-as-you-go scheme, also called the Defined Benefit Scheme. With the Nigeria of today, pension payments paid of N120,000 per month since 2014 has grown by 3% to date. Is that the nature of the CPS? With the total collapse of the economy with hyper inflation, pension payment remains the same. Yet investment windows open to the PFA and custodians are paying interest of over 20% per annum.
